Telkom University Strengthens Global Collaboration through IEEE AGERS 2025

Telkom University Purwokerto once again strengthened its international academic collaboration through the organization of the Asia Pacific Geosciences, Electronics and Remote Sensing Conference (AGERS) 2025, held on Tuesday, 17 and 18 December 2025. The conference was conducted in a hybrid format and hosted at Telkom University Purwokerto, Indonesia. AGERS 2025 was organized by Telkom University Purwokerto in collaboration with the IEEE Indonesia Section. This conference is recognized as one of IEEE Indonesia’s flagship international conferences under the Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS). The conference was led by Dr. Anggun Fitrian Isnawati, S.T., M.Eng., a researcher at the Center of Excellence (COE) Sustainable Cities, Villages, and Food Security (COE SIVIFO). 

AGERS 2025 is the flagship conference of the Indonesian IEEE Asia-Pacific Geosciences, Electronics, and Remote Sensing Technology Joint Chapter, serving as a premier platform for multidisciplinary discussions and technological innovation in the fields of geoscience, electronics, and remote sensing. The scope of AGERS 2025 covers a wide range of strategic topics, including advanced remote sensing, geohazards, satellite systems, image processing, as well as the Internet of Things (IoT) and geospatial big data. These topics are foundation for the development of scientific ideas and publications, particularly in areas such as oceanic remote sensing, disaster mitigation, satellite navigation systems, radar technology, sensor technologies, and data security in remote sensing systems. The theme is highly relevant to global demands for technology-driven solutions that are efficient, adaptive, and oriented toward environmental sustainability. The diversity of its scientific scope positions AGERS 2025 as a strategic forum for cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange, while also fostering impactful research collaborations that contribute to the advancement of science and technology. 

Expectations of AGERS 2025 

Through AGERS 2025, Telkom University aims to expand its international network and foster collaborative research as well as community engagement in the fields of geosciences, electronics, and remote sensing. The conference reaffirms the university’s commitment to advancing international research development, innovation in geoscience and remote sensing technologies, and meaningful academic contributions to sustainable development across related sectors. AGERS 2025 is also expected to generate tangible implementations of geoscience and engineering research that contribute to environmental sustainability and strengthen society’s relationship with the natural world.
