Bandung, Indonesia – February 7, 2026 – Leave a Nest, in collaboration with PUI PT SAKTI and the Directorate of Research and Community Service (PPM) of Telkom University, successfully organized the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference (HIC) 2026 on February 7, 2026, at Gedung Damar, Telkom University, Bandung.
The Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference 2026 brought together 160 participants from academia, industry, government, and community organizations to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and accelerate sustainable innovation in Indonesia. Carrying the theme “Converging Knowledge, Creating Sustainable Futures,” HIC 2026 emphasized the integration of science, technology, and society to address sustainable development challenges and support Indonesia’s long-term vision toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
The conference opened with welcoming remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Angga Rusdinar from Telkom University, highlighting the importance of cross-sector collaboration in building a strong national innovation ecosystem.
The keynote session featured Dr. Muhammad Alief Irham, Founder and Technical Lead of Batari Energy, who delivered insights on the development of battery-based energy storage systems to accelerate Indonesia’s renewable energy transition. His presentation underscored the strategic role of battery technology and energy storage systems in supporting clean energy infrastructure and national energy resilience.
A distinguished scholar recognized as the Best Doctoral Graduate from Institut Teknologi Bandung and a former researcher at RIKEN, Dr. Alief now leads a multidisciplinary team advancing battery manufacturing technology in Indonesia. His work focuses on research downstreaming, industrial commercialization, and building a sustainable battery technology ecosystem.
His presence at HIC 2026 strongly reflected the spirit of the conference: transforming research beyond laboratory boundaries into scalable solutions, industrial applications, and sustainable economic impact.
Through the successful implementation of Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference 2026, Leave a Nest and Telkom University reaffirm their commitment to fostering interdisciplinary research collaboration, strengthening the renewable energy sector, and building a future-ready innovation ecosystem that contributes to Indonesia’s sustainable development agenda.
