Bandung, May 5, 2026 — Telkom University, through the Research Institute for Intelligent Business and Sustainable Economy (RI-IBSE), conducted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yayasan Masjid Al Mu’min through the Center of Excellence Smart MSME & Halal Ecosystem (CoE SHE). This initiative marks a strategic step in strengthening the synergy between academic institutions and community organizations in promoting the development of a sustainable halal ecosystem.
The signing of this MoU aims to create opportunities for collaboration in various programs, including halal socialization, education, and training initiatives that are expected to provide tangible benefits to the community. This collaboration also reflects a shared commitment to enhancing halal literacy and sustainably developing community capacities and resources.
The event was attended by representatives from Telkom University, including Dr. Dian Indiyati as the Dean of RI-IBSE and Dr. Endang Chumaidiyah as the Head of CoE SHE, along with members of the team as the initiators of the collaboration. Representing Yayasan Masjid Al Mu’min, Mr. Gunawan Jayadiharja attended the event as the foundation’s representative.
During the event, both parties expressed their hopes that this collaboration would serve as the beginning of various impactful collaborative programs, particularly in supporting halal education, community empowerment, and strengthening innovation based on community needs through initiatives such as halal supervisor socialization programs, halal slaughterer training, halal literacy campaigns, and other community-based capacity-building activities.
Through this collaboration, RI-IBSE Telkom University continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering meaningful contributions through research, education, and community engagement. It is hoped that this synergy will foster sustainable initiatives that create positive impacts on the surrounding community while supporting the establishment of an inclusive and innovative halal ecosystem.
