Telkom University continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to promoting research excellence and academic impact at both national and global levels. In 2026, a total of eight lecturers from Telkom University received research funding through the Research and Innovation for Advanced Indonesia (RIIM) program from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Notably, three of them are researchers from the Research Institute for Intelligent Business & Sustainable Economy (RI-IBSE), reflecting the institute’s significant contribution to producing high-impact international research.

Dr. Adhi Prasetio, M.M., a researcher at the Center of Excellence (CoE) EADT, received funding for his research entitled “Encouraging the Independence of Indonesia’s Herbal Industry through Traditional Medicine Consumption Behavior: Development of a New Model Using Stimulus–Organism–Behavior–Consequences (SOBC) Theory, Health Belief Model (HBM), and Social Capital Theory (SCT).” This research examines the factors of independence in Indonesia’s herbal industry by linking existing traditional medicine consumption behavior. This research received funding of IDR 208,300,000 for the first year and IDR 164,900,000 for the second year.

Prof. Dr. Andry Alamsyah, M.Sc., a researcher at PUI-PT SAKTI, received funding for his research entitled “Development of a Conversational-Based Tourist Destination Recommendation System Using Large Language Models and Knowledge Graph Retrieval-Augmented Generation.” This research examines the development factors of a tourist destination recommendation system in Indonesia. This research received funding of IDR 224,400,000 for the first year and IDR 200,100,000 for the second year.

Prof. Dr. Dedy Rahman Wijaya, M.T., a researcher at the Center of Excellence GreenTech, received funding for his research entitled “Development of a Non-Destructive Testing System Using an Electronic Nose and Explainable Artificial Intelligence for Multi-Category Classification of Dried Green Tea Quality.” This research examines electronic nose testing and artificial intelligence in testing dried green tea. This research received funding of IDR 157,700,000 for the first year, IDR 134,700,000 for the second year, and IDR 131,800,000 for the third year.

Through this achievement, it is expected that Telkom University will continue to contribute to creating a productive research environment, supporting international publications, and encouraging impactful research that contributes to the advancement of science and sustainable development at both national and global levels.
